The RSPB has a new bird food made from insects. “This protein-rich suet alternative is made from calci worms, which is another name for black soldier fly larvae…creating a high-protein feed that is closer to the natural diet of wild birds..”

It sounds so logical! But does it also reflect the scarcity of insect life in our gardens?
