Warnings of potential emergencies – how will we know?

Weather emergencies are to a degree predictable and we can sign up for alerts or simply keep an eye on the news.

Other emergencies such as transport incidents, power cuts, cyber attacks, etc are not readily predictable.

  1.  Keeping a check on weather forecasts is a practical starting point eg – https://weather.metoffice.gov.uk/forecast/gcpvj0v07#?date=2026-09-15
